Tinkergarten

This Fall, Playful Roots Learning and the Wilton Land Trust will focus on Wellness—that combination of physical, mental, and emotional health kids need to thrive. Our curriculum will help kids develop language, strategies, and habits that help build strong bodies, minds, and hearts.

December 07, 10:00 am - Popup:

This lesson is all about how even young explorers can feel and be an active part of cooking – something that is such a big part of nature and celebrations! Using forest putty (Tinkergarten playdough) and nature treasures, we will set out to prepare a pretend meadow feast.  Following our activity, we will enjoy storytime with warm apple cider.

December 12, 10:00 am - Popup:

We’ll offer sweet ways to use circles, spirals and all things round to spark JOY in ourselves, spread winter joy to family and friends and help kids connect with the natural world. Following our activity, we will enjoy storytime with warm apple cider.

Popup classes are held for FREE on:

Thursday - Dec. 07

Wednesday - Dec 12

Winter classes will focus on building persistence— the ability to stick with something, meet challenges, and push ahead in order to reach our goals, learn, and grow. Each lesson is inspired by a different, persistent animal superhero.

Denise Reznik

After leaving the corporate life behind to dedicate my time to nurturing the little ones in my life, I found my two true passions: nature and childhood development. In 2017, I discovered the perfect intersection of these passions in Tinkergarten. I became a certified Tinkergarten teacher that year and have only grown more dedicated to outdoor, play-based learning since then.

When I'm not outside teaching classes, you can find me volunteering my time in the schools, working as a board member of a local environmental non-profit organization, or planning our next family adventure! I am so incredibly excited to launch Playful Roots Learning and bring the wonderful Tinkergarten program to Wilton and surrounding communities. I look forward to meeting you outside!
