A Conservation Conversation - Co-Hosted by the CLCC & WLCT
Held Thursday, August 20, 2020, from 5-6 PM.
On Thursday, August 20, from 5-6 pm, the Wilton Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) co-hosted a virtual conversation with the Connecticut Land Conservation Council (CLCC) to share the success story of 183 Ridgefield Road with our local State legislators and Connecticut's Conservation Community. Senators Haskell and Hwang, as well as Representatives Gresko, Hughes, O'Dea, McCarthy Vahey, and Steinberg participated in the talk.
As part of CLCC's summer series of Conservation Conversations, we shared the story behind the newly purchased 183 Ridgefield Road Property, chated with our state legislators about conservation priorities, and shared our gratitude for DEEP's OpenSpace and Watershed Land Acquisition grant program (OSWA).
We also premiered an in-house produced video demonstrating the scenic-beauty of 183 and how its preservation has positively impacted the greater Wilton Community, local environment, native wildlife, and migratory species.
