The Wilton Land Conservation Trust and Tutor Chest have come together to offer three unique and immersive book reading experiences. Together, we've created an opportunity for families to venture outside, explore nature, and listen to stories. As partners, we're elevating young minds within beautiful landscapes.
Tutor Chest is an educationally focused organization determined to deliver an accessible online environment that enhances learning for all students, parents, and educators. An easy-to-use, all-encompassing platform that connects parents with educators provides resources, professional development opportunities, and a place to gain support and learn together.
Fall 2021 Books and a Blanket Series:
Wednesday, August 25, 2021 — 10:00 am
Walter Preserve - 688 Ridgefield Road, Wilton, CT 06897. The parking lot is just past the preserve on the right when heading north.
Friday, September 24 — 10:00 am
Schenk's Island - located at the end of Old Ridgefield Rd., Wilton, CT, 06897. Please park in the lot.
Sunday, October 24 — 10:00 am
183 Ridgefield Road Preserve - 183 Ridgefield Road, Wilton, CT 06897. Please park in the lot.
Local Tutor Chest teachers and tutors at each event will read aloud their favorite nature-themed stories, followed by a guided preserve walk and or art and craft experience. Bring your blanket, snack, something to drink, and join us for some fresh air as we celebrate community, nature, and a good book.
