Stewardship Sunday: Marble/Van Haelewyn-Richards Preserve

September 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join the Wilton Land Trust for a guided hike through Marble/Van Haelewyn-Richards Preserve led by ISA Master Arborist and CT Certified Arborist Christopher Teter, followed by native tree restoration. As you explore the preserve, you’ll learn to identify native tree species, gain insight into the health and diversity of the forest canopy, and discover the important role native trees play in local ecosystems. Following the hike, participants will have the opportunity to put that knowledge into action by helping restore the preserve through a volunteer native tree-planting project. This hands-on experience is a meaningful way to learn about forest stewardship while contributing directly to habitat restoration efforts.
